About Ross (Yergz) Yerger

Originally from Boyertown, Pennsylvania, Ross "Yergz" Yerger, lived all over the country during his tenure as a professional baseball umpire, and for his 21+ years in the US Secret Service, where he served as a Special Agent. It's from so many diverse experiences and leadership opportunities that Yergz has created Mastiff.Media to bring local newz back to local people, by local people - and to do the same thing for talk radio, sports radio and play-by-play broadcasting, and podcasting.

A 1990 graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High School, a 1995 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, a 1996 graduate of the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring, 1999 graduate of the Reading Police Academy; Yergz ALSO graduated from the Criminal Investigator Training Program, at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Brunswick, Georgia and the Secret Service Special Agent Training Course, Beltsville, Maryland, Class of 2001.

Now settled retired from the Secret Service and settle outside of Tampa, Florida, Yergz has adopted his son, Zack, who turns 21 this November, during his second year of college, and is also still a very loving "dog dad" to Matrix and Shady. He's also become an avid jet skier and boater and still day trades and works out, daily. Oh, and with his "new job," he is the host of "Up The Middle," which airs weekdays at 11am Eastern on the Mastiff Media Network, a collection of SIX radio stations that he owns and operates!
