Two students in the Advanced Art Club at Middle School East submitted designs for school district holiday cards. Rather than selecting one of them to actually use, it was decided to use them both: one as a traditional holiday card and the other for New Year's.
The New Year's design below was created by eighth grader Chloe Lincavage, who says she had no particular source of inspiration for the design.
Acting district superintendent Mike Stoudt shares that the Olaf artwork (below) was created by Ellie Sell. She says she was inspired by "the warmth of love and family this season." Emily recalls her cousin making her a picture of Olaf when she was younger and she thought she would now try her own skills to create a picture of Olaf herself.
The Advanced Art Club is advised by Mrs. Diaz.

Hi Mark Noonan here, husband of the amazing Julianne. Great article - just one small error - I did not grow up in Phoenixville but in a rural area of NE Pennsylvania. Thanks for writing this article!
Corrected. The joy of digital. Thanks; I enjoyed talking with Julianne.
