The MATHCOUNTS team from Middle School West has won this year's regional competition and qualified for the state competition in Harrisburg.
Members of the team are Brandon Rizzo, Daniel Kovach, Brady James, and Anthony Mercovich. Their coaches are Mrs. Parish and Mrs. Jakoby, both MSW Math Teachers.
The Competition Series has four levels of competition—school, chapter, state and national. Each level of competition is comprised of four rounds—Sprint, Target, Team and Countdown Round. Together, the rounds are designed to take about three hours to complete.
