We remember the shock, the fear--the horror--following the attack from foreign enemies. Thousands of innocent lives were lost on 9/11. Thousands of families shattered. The world suffered with us.
Today, the shock, the fear return following an attack by (perhaps) one of our own. Hate is the cause. Sadly, there's plenty of it--foreign and domestic--and plenty of ways it's expressed.
May we remember, as the FB author wrote, "In one single moment life may never be the same, so live and enjoy the breaths you take today...never take one second of your life for granted."
And may we also remember how to heal, how to help one another--with respect and compassion and the love expressed in the Golden message found in all religions. It's time; if we think we can, we can. I hope you'll join us. And may the World be as one.
