For decades, The SunnyBrook Ballroom in Pottstown, PA has been the venue for performances by the most famous of the so-called "Big Bands." The likes of Glenn Miller, Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra all graced the stage of the historic ballroom.
Keeping with this tradition, SunnyBrook will host a Valentine Matinee Dance with a live 17- piece house band “The Sounds of SunnyBrook” on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1-3:00 PM. The afternoon also feature a full bar.
Under the direction of Jim Dugan, the band will be performing many well known favorites such as: “Unforgettable,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “In the Mood,” and “That Old Black Magic."
Speaking for the band, Dugan says: “We are very excited that Sunnybrook is continuing a tradition of having Big Band music in the ballroom. We love playing there and we love that our audience includes people of all ages.”
This is not the band's first performance at SunnyBrook. Its New Year’s Eve Matinee was a great hit. The dance floor was filled with swing dancers of all ages and abilities.
If you missed that event, you can have the pleasure of attending on Valentine’s Day or other future performances.
Doors open on Friday at 12:00 noon. Tickets can be purchased in advance online for $15.00 or at the door for $20.00.
