Get ready to raise your steins and revel in the spirit of Gemutlichkeit as the Boyertown community comes together to celebrate the 16thAnnual Boyertown Oktoberfest. This highly anticipated event, presented by Building a Better Boyertown, promises to be bigger and better than ever before, as we pay homage to the rich traditions of German culture and unite in a celebration of community.
Previewing the weekend event, on Thursday September 14th at 6:00pm, Building a Better Boyertown, along with Grind, will host an OktoberFEAST Tasting Preview. At this highly sought after ticketed event, Keith Kopicki and the talented chefs at Grind will pair each one of our local beers on tap with appetizers, main entrees, and desserts to make up a multi course meal that will transport your taste buds straight to the heart of Germany.
Oktoberfest weekend promises to be nonstop fun for the whole family! On Friday evening we have Yodeling Dave Kline & his Mountain Folk Oktoberfest Band to fill the air with traditional German music, along with a large variety of food and artisan vendors. The excitement continues on Saturday when we begin the afternoon with a ceremonial keg tapping by our Mayor Lori Carnes. Followed by entertainment from Auerhahn Schuhplatter Verein German Dancers, GTV Edelweiss Dancers from Liederkranz, German Alumni Band, Happy Dutchman German Band and Fitz Magee.
Under the beer tent, you will discover an impressive selection of German and locally brewed beers and cider, where you can raise a glass with old friends, or make new ones as you savor the flavors of this beloved beverage.
Admission to the 16th Annual Oktoberfest is free to attend with the exception of the beer tent, which requires a cover charge and drink tickets. Certain children’s activities also require tickets. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
