Featuring a new theme each year, Glick’s Greenhouse Annual Poinsettia Show’s 2025 theme did not disappoint.

“Nature’s Blessings” was open to the public December 3-6 and December 8-9 with today, Wednesday, Dec. 10th the final day. Hours are 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Beauty surrounds visitors as they walk a designated path through the different areas of the greenhouse. Over 15,000 poinsettias are on display – red, white, pink, variegated. Periodic signs ask guests to “look but not touch,” reminding them that there are poinsettias for sale in a shopping area at the end of the tour.

In keeping with the nature’s blessings theme, visitors are routed past beautiful displays of greenery and scenes of serenity, created with items found in nature such as dried grasses and flowers, little seed pods, acorns. There are also water features, including a fishpond.

The displays are lovely and clever in their construction; however, one of the highlights is a journey through countless dried citrus slices, cranberries, and cinnamon sticks strung from side to side overhead. Glick’s Facebook post describes, “All of the fruit used on these beautiful and festive fruit garlands were sliced and dehydrated here at the greenhouse! We used an assortment of oranges, apples, cranberries, limes, grapefruit, and cinnamon sticks.” The scent is captivating.

Other attractions include the thematic wreaths entered in the business wreath competition, winners displaying their award ribbons, live music with changing performers throughout the event’s multi-day run, and popcorn and hot dogs, compliments of the Glick family. Rumor has it that the sauerkraut is homemade.

In addition to poinsettias, the shopping area offers Christmas Cactus and Amaryllis plants, plant pots, local honey and a few other food items; also, varied objects that were lovingly “doodled” by Beth Glick, and t-shirts she designed.

The Glick’s share, “Our Poinsettia Show started 47 years ago when Dave Glick, founder of Glick’s Greenhouse, wanted to share the striking beauty of greenhouses full of poinsettias. Now, our annual show has grown into a Christmas tradition with different themed displays each year as we aim to bless the community and share the beauty of the Christmas season.”

Originally, the show was only open a few days for one week, but to limit crowding during the pandemic, a second week was added, and the Glicks have found the additional days to be helpful. On Monday alone, over 2,400 visitors attended, according to the young boy with the counter clicker at the door.

Reminder: You can still enjoy this lovely event today, Wednesday, Dec. 10 until 8:00p.m.
