Friends and family turned out on April 28 to see more than 100 Boyertown Area Sr. High (BASH) students inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS). The ceremony took place in BASH Memorial Stadium.
Students were selected based on their achievements in four areas: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
According to BASH's NHS website. "In order to be invited, students must have a cumulative, weighted GPA above 3.5. Upon determining qualification status, emails are sent to students in 11th grade inviting them to apply. Seniors who qualify may be invited to reapply as well...A secret committee of staff members meets to determine which students meet the specific, high standards and qualifications based on their application."
Congratulations to this year's inductees!

Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 63 and low of 33 degrees. Sunny in the morning, overcast for the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
Listening to your community is such an important part of being an elected official. Thanks to all of the candidates who had the courage to come out and answer 17 questions submitted by our community on the fly. I think it’s important to note that none of the incumbent candidates made it a priority to attend.
Thank you for the ghost stories at this time of year. It's great to have the variety of artiicles you (Jane and Leslie) put together for our local information, our entertainment and contemplation--keep up the good work!
BOO!
