Reach Cyber Charter School National Honor Society Inducts Students

Three students from Berks County are among the 46 newly inducted members of Reach Cyber Charter School’s National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). The inductees were celebrated in a virtual combined ceremony for NHS and NJHS members with their family and peers across Pennsylvania on Dec. 17, 2025. 

“Our newly inducted members of the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society exemplify what it means to lead with purpose,” said Jane Swan, CEO of Reach Cyber Charter School. “Their academic excellence, integrity, and dedication to serving others inspire those around them and highlight the many ways in which Reach Cyber students using their time and talents to make a positive impact.” 

Students inducted into the National Honor Society from Berks County include: • Grant Yorgey, 9th grade student • Halie Davis, 9th grade student Students inducted into the National Junior Honor society from Berks County include: • Emily Poole, 7h grade student.

There are now 61 members of Reach Cyber’s NHS chapter, which includes high school students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades, and 38 members in NJHS, which includes students in seventh, eighth and ninth grades. To become a member of Reach Cyber’s NHS or NJHS, students must demonstrate excellence in service and/or leadership, receive recommendation from a community member, and earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better in their academic courses. 

Once inducted, students attend monthly meetings through the school’s learning portal and participate in service projects such as Book Buddies, where they read their favorite children’s books to younger cohorts of Reach Cyber students and answer questions about future career plans. Each school year, members will complete a minimum of 10 community service hours.
